Indonesia issues the highest level of alert due to the Ruang volcano eruption

The repeated eruption of Mount Ruang volcano in North Sulawesi province prompted the relevant Indonesian authorities to issue the highest level of warning, after volcanic ash rose more than one mile (1.6 kilometers) into the air and hundreds were forced to flee their areas.

According to the Indonesian Volcanology Agency, the eruption of Mount Ruang volcano occurred four times on Thursday, and accordingly, the alert level for the volcano, whose summit is 725 meters high, was raised from level three to level four this evening, which is the highest in the approved classification system.
