Independiente Medellín reinforcement was robbed by fans of his own team

On Monday, Independiente Medellín defeated Deportivo Cali 1-0 on the fourth date of the 2024-I League. It was the second victory for the 'Popoderoso' in the tournament.

However, one of the newcomers to the DIM squad turned the celebration sour. This is the attacker Ménder García, who was assaulted outside the sports venue.

The journalist Juan Pablo Rúa was in charge of publicizing the fact with a photograph on social networks where García is seen speaking with the police outside the sports venue.

According to press reports, García, born in Tumaco (Nariño), would have been a victim of the confusion of the assailants, who would have mistaken him for a Deportivo Cali fan. It should be remembered that the attacker has not yet made his official debut with the team.

Ménder was confirmed by the DIM on January 31 as a free agent, after leaving Minnesota United and until now he arrived in Colombia to debut soon.
