The decision to enter an emergency is made by the government commission for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety.
The state of emergency of federal significance is introduced for the first time in the areas of Yakutia and the Khabarovsk Territory, which are engulfed in fire. In 2021, the department noted, due to administrative barriers, it was not possible to use federal forces in the burning Yakutia until the fires reached certain criteria, the website writes. kp.ru.

Since the beginning of the year, the total area of forest fires in these regions is 3.2 times lower compared to the same period in 2021 and amounts to 603.4 thousand hectares, the channel reports “360”. The head of Rosleskhoz, Ivan Sovetnikov, specified that after the introduction of the emergency situation, the issue of attracting additional forces from neighboring regions and the Russian Emergencies Ministry would be considered. Earlier on July 19, it became known that in the Ulchsky district of the Khabarovsk Territory, a complex forest fire that arose near the village of Bogorodskoye due to recent summer thunderstorms was extinguished.
