Deputies will introduce a bill to the State Duma to abolish the Unified State Exam in favor of traditional exams
In Russia they wanted to abolish the Unified State Exam (USE), a bill to abandon this form of knowledge testing in favor of traditional exams will be submitted to the State Duma by deputies from the LDPR, Communist Party of the Russian Federation and SRZP factions. This is reported by RIA News.
It is planned to introduce amendments to the Federal Law “On Education in the Russian Federation”. If adopted, the law could come into force on January 1, 2025.
The results of the Unified State Exam will be valid for another four years after passing and can be accepted at universities as entrance tests, the bill says.
Earlier, the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN) Gennady Krasnikov said that in Russia the problem with personnel in science is connected, among other things, with the results of the Unified State Exam. At the same time, in his opinion, it is still premature to abandon this form of exam and change the procedure for passing the final certification.
