The Abu Dhabi City Municipality, affiliated to the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has completed the rehabilitation of four play areas and a multi-purpose playground in Abu Dhabi, as part of its keenness to provide recreational spaces for families and children and enhance communication between community members.
The municipality stated that the rehabilitation works included the play area in the neighborhood park located on Al Majara Street in Al Hawd East 38, near the Indian School. To make the parks and game areas qualified to serve the recreational, educational, sports and social aspect.
Garden games equipment serves different age groups with international specifications, and meets all safety and security standards for users.
The multi-purpose stadium rehabilitation works also included removing old floors, re-paving the stadium with asphalt according to the highest international standards and specifications, maintaining and rehabilitating stadium equipment and rehabilitating lighting systems, in addition to painting and planning stadium floors with high-quality materials that are resistant to natural conditions. The multi-purpose stadium allows the practice of several activities. Like five-a-side football – basketball – volleyball – and handball, and in order to secure the users of the stadium area, a metal fence was installed around the stadium, and sidewalks were built around the stadium and pedestrian paths, to connect the stadiums with the existing paths.
The municipality confirmed that this area is a new addition to the residential neighborhood facilities on Abu Dhabi Island, and contributes to improving the appearance of the city.
