In Moscow, a pensioner mocked scammers by replacing banknotes with paper
In Moscow, a pensioner from Moscow mocked the scammers. About it writes Telegram channel “Sapa”.
The criminals called the woman on the phone and began processing her according to the standard scheme. She was told that they were trying to withdraw money from her account, and it needed to be secured by transferring it to a “reliable” person.
The Muscovite realized in time that they were trying to deceive her and contacted the police. Law enforcement officers advised to stop any communication with scammers, but the pensioner decided to teach the attackers a lesson. She met the courier at the appointed time and handed him a package containing cut paper.
It is not reported whether the criminal was detained.
Earlier, the Central Bank published the most popular phrases of telephone scammers, upon hearing which you should immediately hang up. In particular, you should be wary when you hear phrases such as “special or secure account”, “help detain scammers”, “SIM card is expiring”.
