Finland Team Fintastic won the Junior World Skating Championships on Saturday in Innsbruck, Austria.
The race was tight, with US teams Team Skyliners and Teams Elite finishing just 1.22 and 1.50 points, respectively. Finland’s second representative, Musketeers, rose to fourth place in the overall results with his successful free program.
Team Fintastic’s total score of 205.61 is the best of the season not only for the team but also for the Finnish juniors.
“This is absolutely amazing. How cold-headed the girls were able to skate after this awkward week. The whole team was on the ice. There were the 16 skated girls in the program and also the team members who were in the stands. Fintastic skated wonderfully, ”the coach said Milja Sarkkinen rejoiced in the press release.
