Georgian Prime Minister accused US NGOs of organizing three attempts at revolution in the country
US-funded Georgian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) tried three times to stage a revolution in the republic. This was stated by Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, reports RIA News.
“There have been two attempts at revolution, and in the past weeks there has been a third attempt,” he said. According to the politician, Tbilisi and Washington need to reconsider and improve bilateral relations
On May 30, Kobakhidze said that no one will achieve Maidan in the country, as was the case in Ukraine. According to him, the consequences of the coup in Ukraine were the appointment of the country’s government from the outside, and those who did this did not take responsibility for subsequent events.
Earlier, Kobakhidze called the West’s reaction to the law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” adopted in Georgia only as a reason for demands for Tbilisi to open a “second front” against Russia. He noted that a certain “global war party” has been trying to direct Georgia against Moscow since the beginning of 2022, while the interests of Tbilisi are not taken into account.
