French police arrested a native of Donbass with Russian and Ukrainian citizenship after an explosion in a hotel room in the hotel area of the Charles de Gaulle airport, where he lived. This was reported by the newspaper Le Figaro.
The material notes that a 26-year-old man was hospitalized with injuries.
The National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the detainee. The defendant was handed over to employees of the French Directorate General of Internal Security (DGSI).

Investigators also found money, several fake passports and small arms.

The detainee denies plans to commit a terrorist attack
According to Le Figaro sources close to the investigation, the suspect, who received Russian citizenship, denies any plans of attack and claims that it was a mere accident.
However, the General Directorate of Internal Security emphasized that the French authorities take this issue very seriously.
And the presence of this man near the first French airport is all the more alarming.
Tensions have risen between Russia and France in recent weeks. On June 5, the French Foreign Ministry threatened the Russian Embassy in Paris with consequences because of the words of Russian diplomats that French military instructors sent to Ukraine would be a legitimate target for the Russian Armed Forces.
In turn, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova promised that Moscow will respond to France in the event of any measures against Russian diplomats.
At the end of May, it became known that French leader Emmanuel Macron wants to form a coalition of instructors from European countries to send to Ukraine. According to Le Monde newspaper, sending French and European instructors to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) could be a matter of weeks or even days.
