Argentine authorities have limited gas supplies to local enterprises due to cold weather
Due to extreme cold, the Argentine government has temporarily limited gas supplies to local businesses. About it writes Clarin newspaper.
The country’s authorities took such measures to prevent widespread power outages amid high demand due to unexpectedly low temperatures in the country. Manufacturers of textiles and plastic products have been notified of supply restrictions. Gas supplies to gas stations will also be temporarily stopped.
Calendar winter in Argentina will begin on June 21. However, according to forecasts from the National Meteorological Service, on May 25-26 the temperature in Buenos Aires will drop to two degrees, and in the south of the country it will drop to minus nine.
Earlier it was reported that spring frosts drove up strawberry prices in Russia. The average retail price of strawberries in May 2024 increased by almost 20 percent.
