The fast-food chain specializing in fried chicken Popeyes will distribute the brand’s mini fillets in restaurants throughout Brazil between the 24th and 25th of May for those who can pass the 1.55m rule. The action is part of the global campaign, ‘The Madness that People Love’, and will star actress Mel Maia.
The presence of the actress, who measures 1.55m, will set a humorous tone in the campaign. The choice of the actress is also a way of provoking KFC, the brand’s main competitor, as Mel is the ex of MC Daniel, the rival chain’s poster boy.
To get the four mini fillets, the person will have to pass the ruler that will be available in stores. Taller people can try to ‘hack’ the mechanics and secure their mini steak too.
Popeyes is part of the same group as Burger King, which recently carried out a campaign that distributed free Whoopers to bald people who ordered the snack at the chain’s Drive Thru.
