A 35-year-old man died today, 17 April 2024, on a Raynair Turin-Lamezia Terme flight, which took off from Caselle at 11am.
The commander immediately returned to Turin airport – explained Sagat, the company that manages the airport – where the plane was awaited on the tarmac by the airport ambulance and the airport medical staff. The doctor and nurse immediately boarded the plane and provided aid to the passenger who unfortunately died.
According to what we learn, the man, who died of cardiac arrest, felt ill when the plane of flight Fr8780 was halfway through the journey, hence the pilot's decision to return to Caselle. When the aircraft landed, after 11.30, the doctors, previously alerted, immediately boarded and helped him, but were forced to declare his death.
The man was traveling with his wife, who fell ill following the death of her husband and was taken to hospital.
