IKEA launches ‘The Co-Worker Game’ on Roblox: a virtual job opportunity

IKEA, the Swedish furniture giant, is set to revolutionize the work experience with the launch of “The Co-Worker Game” on Roblox on June 24. This pioneering initiative not only marks IKEA’s first entry into the world of mainstream gaming, but also introduces a revolutionary virtual career concept into its digital universe.

In “The Co-Worker Game”, the players

Only 5 days left until June 16, 2024, date on which IKEA will accept the last valid applications for 10 paid positions within the game. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to serve customers, practice their skills and advance through the ranks by changing departments and taking on new responsibilities. Virtual interviews for successful candidates will take place between June 14 and 18, 2024, and each paid player will receive an hourly wage based on IKEA’s standard rates.

In addition to paid roles, “The Co-Worker Game” offers all players the opportunity to freely explore the virtual world of IKEA.
