Spain runs out of aid for the acquisition of electric vehicle or installation of recharge points, as collected in Moves III Plan. Although the Government has approved a new “Omnibus Decree” in which numerous social measures are included again, the aid for the purchase of electric vehicles is not included in it.
The deadline for submitting requests for the aid of the Moves III program ended on December 31, 2024. This means that it is no longer possible to request these aid for the purchase of electric vehicles or the installation of recharge infrastructure through this program.
As a consequence, and as confirmed by the Institute for Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE), the requests submitted between January 1 and 22, 2025 are annulled. «The negative result in the vote of validation produces the repeal of the repeal of the Royal Decree-Law and its disappearance of the ordering, so the expansion of the validity of the Moves III Plan to June 2025 has been without effect ”, publishes the IDAE in a clarifying note.
Specifically, it states that in relation to the requests submitted between January 1 and 22, 2025, the mere submission of applications «does not imply any right acquired that must be preserved before the repeal of the aforementioned Royal Decree-Law, in favor of the petitioners ».
Therefore, given the repeal of the decree-law that extended the Moves III Plan, “it is not possible that the requests that arose during their validity continue to be processed since, if so, they would be created (a posteriori) rights to the rights to the Amparo of an extinct program today ».
The employers of the sector, ANFAC and Faconauto have shown their concern about the non -validation today in the Congress of the Deputies of the Extension of the MOVES Plan until June 30 of this year and the deduction of 15% to 3,000 euros in the IRPF for The purchase of an electric vehicle.
And after the clarification of the IDAE they insist that «from ANFAC, we work with the government to approve an urgent plan that stipulates the aid to purchase to the electric vehicle, while incorporating retroactivity for all these citizens that have requested the aid of the Moves III Plan between January 2 and 22 ».
They also explain that without the aid to the purchase, as has been demonstrated in other countries of the European Union “the sales of electrical cars are paralyzed, with the consequent delay in compliance with the decarbonization objectives.”
Consequently, they believe necessary and urgent to immediately reestablish at least the extension of the Moves until June 30 and the 15% deduction of the IRPF up to 3,000 euros throughout the 2025 year.
Finally, from ANFAC and Faconauto, they are urgent to the political parties and their parliamentary groups that approve both measures that, in our opinion, have a majority support.
