Trevor Zegras scores goals with special kicks.
Anaheim American forward for the Ducks Trevor Zegras scored the most spectacular goal of Tuesday night’s NHL round.
In the match against Seattle Kranken, Zegras received a vertical pass in front of the goal, took possession of the puck, put his stick between his legs and rolled the puck into the top corner of the goal.
Zegras, 21, has previously excelled as a creator or initiator of spectacular goals.
In December 2021, Zegras took the puck behind the goal on the shoulder of his stick and “threw” the puck over the goal: in front of the goal Sonny Milano hit the puck out of the air into the net past Buffalo’s bewildered goalkeeper Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.
Zegras’ bravura is taking the puck on the stick and scoring aerial goals, such as Mikael Granlund in due course to the Russian network in the World Cup. In the NHL, the term “lacrosse-style” goal is used for goals. Lacrosse has a wound-like stick.
Last November, Zegras also scored a handsome aerial goal, but after the coach challenged the goal, it was finally rejected as offside.
Zegras has played 63 matches this season, in which he has scored 20 goals and provided 33 assists.
However, on Tuesday evening, Zegras’ handsome goal did not bring victory, because Eeli Tolvanen represented by Seattle Kranken won 5–2. Tolvanen also scored in the match.
