Ice hockey | Kiekko-Espoo will play in the SM league next season

Kiekko-Espoo announced on Tuesday that it has succeeded in fulfilling the conditions required for the SM league license.

Therefore, the Espoo club can play in the SM league in the next season 2024–2025.

The conditions of Kiekko-Espoo's previously granted league license were a sufficient number of partners by the end of March and an agreement to redeem the league share.

Chairman of the club Amy Rubinstein told a press conference on Tuesday that the required number of partnerships has been collected.

Kiekko-Espoo and SM liiga have also agreed on the redemption of league shares.

“We are happy to say that for the 2024-2025 season we will be playing league hockey in Espoo. We are really happy that the issue was reached,” said Rubinstein.
