Ice hockey | Jesse Puljujärvi’s NHL contract will be decided by an arbitrator

The arbitrator will decide the contract matters of Jesse Puljujärvi, Kasperi Kapanen and Kaapo Kähkönen by August 11 at the latest. Niko Mikkola received a contract extension from the St. Louis Blues.

Keeper Kaapo Kähkönen and attackers Kasperi Kapanen and Jesse Puljujärvi are waiting for an arbitration hearing in the hockey NHL, where their future contract will be evaluated.

Kähkönen represents the San Jose Sharks, Kapanen the Pittsburgh Penguins and Puljujärvi the Edmonton Oilers.

NHL roster on their website 25 players whose contract issues are resolved by arbitration. The deadline for processing is July 27–11. August, but the player can sign a contract with his current team before then.

For processing the defender also signed up Niko Mikkola, but he signed a one-year contract extension with the St. Louis Blues on Sunday. Blues told on their websitethat the value of Mikkola’s contract is just under 1.9 million euros.

Mikkola, 26, has played 89 regular season NHL games in his career. In last spring’s playoffs, he was in the rink in 12 games.
