MF Talent, a company of ‘head hunters’ and cybersecurity services specialized in IT profiles, gathered yesterday at the Mandarín Oriental Ritz Hotel in Madrid 45 leaders of the main Ibex companies, presidents, general directors, CEOs and CIOs in an event to address a digital and sustainable future and the impact that AI and cybersecurity have. Responsible for the autonomous communities from Madrid, Asturias and Murcia were also present at the event.
Mercedes Fernández, CEO of MF Talent, explained how the company has been able to adapt to the talent needs of the market in cybersecurity and AI, as well as what its success has been in the sector by firmly believing in people like main asset of the company and link them to technology for any transformation process. MF Talent’s objective is to replicate and duplicate cybersecurity services, and diversify its business in terms of branding personnel, advisory councils and selection of management profiles.
The event was hosted by Jorge Luengo, magician and television illusionist, and was opened by Félix Barrio, general director of the National Cybersecurity Institute of Spain (Incibe).
In his speech, Félix Barrio highlighted the importance of public administrations establishing mechanisms that support companies in the implementation of protection systems, given that these institutions are responsible for providing said resources. Furthermore, he stated that “we are a reference in Europe as a country to invest in energy both for its cost and for its security, so it is essential to replicate this type of initiatives and events in other autonomous communities.
The meeting also included Colonel Baños and the CEO of the Cybersecurity Agency of the Community of Madrid, Alejandro Las Heras. The latter highlighted that one of the priority factors of the agency is training, awareness and information about the importance of cybersecurity for citizens.
Jorge Luengo moderated the round table titled “green innovation: AI and cybersecurity for a sustainable future based on talent“and during the session, José María Galofré Ragel, president and CEO of Volvo Car Spain, stated: “Our priority is the safety of our customers, which is why we stand out for software development in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.”
For his part, Jaime de Jaraíz Lozano, president and CEO of LG Electronics Iberia, announced that the LG appliances They will have a lifetime warranty. In addition, he noted that the objective is to go beyond sustainability 1.0 and move towards a deeper and more committed industry 2.0.
For his part, José De La Uz Pardos, president of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI) and mayor of Las Rozas, emphasized that the priority is attract talent and promote exponential growth of the Rozas Innova.
The closing of the event was carried out by Ignacio Azorín, general director of Digital Strategy of the Community of Madrid, together with Mercedes Fernández CEO of MF Talent.
