For a few days, it has been reported on social networks that the premiere of “Terrifier 2” is causing more than one reaction in the movie theaters where it is shown. Vomiting and fainting are part of the warnings that have occurred on the internet after the premiere of the horror film.
In this sense, the person who spoke about this type of action was its director, Damian Leonewho in conversation with Entertainment Weekly showed his surprise at the public reception.
“I don’t want people to pass out or get hurt during the movie. But what is happening is surreal. They should probably watch the first part before watching the sequel. If you see it, you’ll know what you’re getting into. I think this film is more accessible for the viewers, but we are also giving material for the loyal fans. If there are people who want to join this world, the better,” Leone told EW.
This is not the first installment that Damien Leone gives on the character of Art the Clown. His story with the villain began more than a decade ago.
“I had the idea of a clown terrorizing a woman on a bus. She was all alone and a clown comes up, sits in front of her and starts looking at her. He is strange and awkward, but then he becomes progressively more intimidating and aggressive, ”said the filmmaker.
After presenting a short film in 2011 titled “Terrifier”, Leone finally turned Art the clown into a full-length film and in 2016 he brought in David Howard Thornton to bring the killer clown to life.
“I don’t want to give spoilers, but we have a good cliffhanger at the end of ‘Terrifier 2’. Is there much more to explore with Art the Clown? Sure,” he mentioned.
