Orders have started for the new Hyundai Tucson, with the restyling of the fourth generation which thus renews the model introduced at the end of 2020. The facelift of one of the best-selling C-SUVs on the market will be offered in four trim levels, XTech, Business, Excellence and N-Line with prices starting from 32,850 euros and the first examples already available in dealerships.
The design innovations of the new Hyundai Tucson
The new Hyundai Tucson 2024 is characterized by a more decisive design for the exterior, with sculpted details especially on the front in the grille and bumper areas, as well as the Parametric Hidden Lights light signature, with the latter having been further emphasized. The rear has also been renewed, with a more evident presence on the road. Inside the passenger compartment we find a new steering wheel and also the new gear lever positioned on the column, with the central console now integrating wireless smartphone charging. The dashboard is dominated by the double curved display that combines the instrument panel and infotainment, both 12.3″. The technological equipment is also wider with the possibility of OTA (Over-the-Air) updates and the latest versions of Bluelink and Hyundai Live services. On the new Hyundai Tucson you can also unlock the vehicle with your smartphone thanks to the new Digital Key and on-board NFC technology.
The engines
The offer of the new Hyundai Tucson includes electrified engines, such as the 215 HP Full-Hybrid powertrain that uses the 1.6 T-GDI engine, with 6-speed automatic transmission and in 2WD or 4WD version. Also available depending on the trim levels are 48 volt mild hybrid options, both petrol 1.6 T-GDI 160 HP 2WD (MT or DCT) and diesel 1.6 CRDi 136 HP 2WD DCT. The range is completed by the 235 HP Plug-in Hybrid 4WD AT version with 65 km in 100% electric mode (WLTP).
The setups
The new Hyundai Tucson is available in trim level XTech starting from 32,850 euros, with equipment that includes full LED headlights, 12.3” digital instrument cluster with 4.2” TFT screen, 17” alloy wheels, cruise control, steering wheel paddles and shift-by-wire gearbox (only for DCT and AT versions). Also standard is the navigation system with 12.3″ touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay™ and AndroidAuto™ and Over The Air (OTA) software updates, front and rear parking sensors (with rear camera), leather-covered steering wheel, seats covered in fabric and internal LED lights. ADAS includes Forward Collision Assist (FCA) with car, pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist (LFA), Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) and Driver Drowsiness Detection (DAW). The setup Business instead stick to 35,350 euros and adds as standard Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA), autonomous emergency braking with junction function, 18” alloy wheels, Cluster SuperVision with 12.3” high definition screen, tinted rear windows, Smart Cruise control (only for DCT and AT versions), height-adjustable driver and passenger seats with electric lumbar support, two-zone automatic climate control and wireless smartphone charger. At the top of the range there is the Excellence version, with a price list of 39,650 euros. Included here are 19” light alloy wheels, Full LED Wide Projection matrix headlights, Full LED rear lights, electric tailgate, heated front seats and steering wheel, Remote Seat Folding, Head-Up Display and Krell Premium Sound System a 8 channels with subwoofer and amplifier. Then there is the sportiest, the N Line which from 39,650 euros includes several distinctive design elements, as well as 19″ alloy wheels with a dedicated design, sports bumpers and body-coloured wheel arches. Inside, contrasting red stitching, in addition to the heated and electrically adjustable N Line sports seats covered in a leather/suede fabric mix with a dedicated design and metal-covered pedals.
