Hyundai Ioniq 5 is renewed. And it does so from different points of view, ranging from design to the battery pack through to the technological features. With a look also at the range, which is expanding with the new N Line version of the model. Hyundai has already announced that the updated versions of the Ioniq 5, including the new N Line version, will be available starting from March only on the Korean market, while their introduction is also expected in other markets during the year. including the Italian one in mid-2024.
Renewed design
But let's go back to the innovations brought by the restyling of the Hyundai Ioniq 5. From a customer point of view design, the car's 20 mm longer length, the new refined V-shaped grille and the redesigned front and rear bumpers stand out. The rear spoiler has also been renewed, which has been lengthened by 50 mm, while elsewhere new wheels with a revised design have been introduced. Moving inside of of Ioniq 5, we discover that the upper part of the central Universal Island is now equipped with physical buttons with which it is possible to manage the most used functions. The wireless charging pad for smartphones has instead been moved higher up. Finally, the design of the steering wheel with interactive pixel lights is new, as is the layout of the infotainment and climate control controls.
Bigger battery
And that's not all. Because Hyundai has announced that the refreshed Ioniq 5 will also be available with a larger capacity battery, which will pass from 77.4 kWh to 84.0 kWh, increasing its all-electric range (the new estimate has not yet been disclosed by Hyundai). Other notable updates: The new Ioniq 5 is equipped with Hyundai's next-generation Connected Car Navigation Cockpit infotainment system and wireless OTA software updates, enjoys a host of new safety and comfort features, benefits from the introduction of a new cushioning system which helps dampen vibrations, features doubled reinforcements on the rear wheels and underside of the vehicle, increased body rigidity, optimized electric motor noise control and reinforced bodywork, front and rear doors and B-pillar.
The N Line version
Final gloss on the new version N Line, the one with the most sporty soul. The design of this version of the Ioniq 5 features unique bumpers, side skirts and 20″ aluminum wheels exclusive to the N Line. Inside the cockpit the concept of sportiness is accentuated to the maximum by the metal pedals, the exclusive N Line steering wheel and dashboard, the black headliner, the sports seats with N logo, the contrasting red stitching and two seat upholstery options.
