Fans asked for it and Marvel Studios has finally listened. Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine for “Deadpool 3″, as confirmed by Ryan Reynolds himself in an unexpected announcement video, shared on his official Twitter account.
“His first appearance in the MCU obviously has to be special. We have to stay true to the character, find new depth, motivation, meaning,” Reynolds said of Wade Winston Wilson.
Thus, with Jackman almost without going out in front of cameras, Wolverine’s participation has been finalized.
When does “Deadpool 3” come out?
The aforementioned Reynolds clip ended with the “Deadpool 3” release date: September 6, 2024.
For now, the details of the tape remain under total secrecy. However, it had previously been revealed that Shawn Levy (“Free guy”) will be the director of the project.
Meanwhile, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, in charge of the script of the first installments of “Deadpool”, will rewrite the script for this third part, which is expected to be rated R again.
Fans want the plot to stay true to the character; that is to say, that they do not censor scenes or dose the story to be told, especially since Disney bought 20th Century Fox a few years ago.
Regarding it, this is what Reese said: “I think the best thing is that Marvel is supporting us. They’re going to let Deadpool be Deadpool, you know? It’s not that any particular joke has made them say, ‘This is going too far.’ That could happen, but up to this point it has been nothing more than supportive.”
