The three previously announced shows on October 1, 2 and 3 are already sold out. These will be De Dijk’s last major concerts. According to organizer Agents After All, the demand for tickets was enormous and ‘unexpectedly a spot had become available’ in the Ziggo Dome.
The Dijk frontman Huub van der Lubbe (69) announced this month that the band will stop after 41 years. The group, named after the Amsterdam Zeedijk, scored hits such as Bloedend Hart, May het licht uit het licht and If she is not there. The group has won various prizes such as the Zilveren Harp in 1987, the Gouden Harp in 1993, the Edison Oeuvre Prize in 2005 and the Pop Prize in 2008.
