HS gallup|Some of the supporters of Basic Finns have moved to the stands.
Sdp’s the number one position as the most popular party has strengthened since April, and the support of basic Finns has weakened, according to a recent HS-gallup. The support of the coalition, on the other hand, has remained unchanged compared to the April survey.
Sdp’s support is 22.7 percent, i.e. an increase of 1.1 percentage points from the previous measurement. The support of the coalition is 19.9 percent and the basic Finns 16.2 percent, which is 1.6 percentage points less than in April.
The support of the central bank has strengthened by 0.8 percentage points and is now 12.1 percent. The support of the Left Alliance is 9 percent and the Greens’ 7.8 percent. The Christian Democrats have kept the support they got in the parliamentary elections a year ago, 4.2 percent. Rkp, on the other hand, has lost its support from 4.3 percent of the elections. Now Rkp receives 3.4 percent support from the people.
Gallup’s based on indicative background material, an increasing proportion of Sdp’s supporters are women. In addition, Sdp’s supporters have the largest share of parties over 65 years old.
Based on the research, the decline in the support of basic Finns seems to be primarily due to the fact that voters of basic Finns have moved to the stands, i.e. they now do not want to state their position or would not vote.
Sdp’s the support has been higher than now in the HS-galup last January 2016. At that time, Finland had a center-led bourgeois government, which also included basic Finns.
The research material of the recent opinion survey has been collected between 15 April and 17 May. The most certain (51%) of their party choice are the supporters of the Left Alliance. The supporters of basic Finns (50%) and the coalition (48%) are almost as steadfast in their positions.
40 percent of Sdp’s supporters are sure of their position.
A total of 2,484 people were interviewed for the study. The margin of error of the study is about 2 percentage points in each direction.
