Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Juniper Networks, Inc., a leader in native AI networks, today announced that they have reached a definitive agreement that HPE will acquire Juniper in a transaction with a total asset value of approximately $14 billion.
The explosion of AI and business driven by hybrid cloud Demand for unified, secure technology solutions that connect, protect and analyze enterprise data from the edge to the cloud is accelerating. These trends, and AI in particular, will increasingly represent a standard for enterprises, and HPE is aligning its portfolio to capitalize on these substantial IT trends, with networking as a critical connecting component.
Combining the complementary portfolios of HPE and Juniper enriches HPE's edge-to-cloud strategy with the capability of an AI-native environment based on a cloud-native architecture. Together, HPE and Juniper will provide customers of all sizes with a comprehensive, secure portfolio that enables the network architecture needed to manage and simplify their growing and increasingly complex connectivity needs.
Through its suite of cloud-delivered networking solutions, software and services including the Mist AI and Cloud Platform, Juniper helps organizations securely and efficiently access the mission-critical cloud infrastructure that serves as the foundation of their digital and AI strategies .
Upon completion of the acquisition, Juniper CEO Rami Rahim will lead HPE's combined networking business, reporting to HPE President and CEO Antonio Neri.
