For the fourth consecutive year, the campaign to simultaneously vaccinate against flu and Covid 19 (booster dose) will be deployed mainly in health centers and Primary Care offices, public hospitals and residences for the elderly and people with disabilities. .
To receive this service in the public Primary Care network, the user has to request an appointment with the Nursing staff. To do this you have several options: in personin your health center; calling on the phone of the latter and indicate option 3; in the digital kiosks located there, using the flu vaccine button; through the Virtual Health Card App or Health Appointment, or on the Community of Madrid website.
Joint immunization will also be administered at the Vaccination Center of the Community of Madrid, located at number 15 General Oraá Street in the capital; the public hospitals of the Madrid Health Service (patients with risk conditions); occupational risk prevention services of health resourcesalso adding some private medical complexes. The doses against Covid-19 are vaccines adapted to the new JN.1 subvariants of the Ómicron variant, following national and international recommendations.
Increase in cases
Flu cases in the Community of Madrid have increased by 3.2% in the last week, while the incidence of Covid-19 has fallen by 19.3% in the last seven days.
The joint flu and Covid-19 vaccination campaign (booster dose), which will last until January 31, began on October 7 for people over 60 years of age, health and socio-health personnel and children from 6 months to 59 (almost 5 years), in this case only the flu dose.
