Horner-Red Bull, the relationship is shaking
After Lewis Hamilton's sensational move to Ferrari, another bombshell news risks destabilizing Formula 1. Chris's position Horner as team principal of Red Bull it is in fact the subject of strong discussion after the Briton was accused of having inappropriate attitudes towards a team employee.
According to what we learn from the German newspaper Motorsport-Total and as confirmed by Times, this serious accusation was made against Horner last weekend, and after the woman's complaint at the headquarters in Fuschl am See (Austria) there would already be a dossier with incriminating material ready to frame the Briton. The content of this evidence would be so hot that Horner would be asked to resign as team principal of Red Bull.
It is likely that Horner, as an initial reaction, refused, but the situation is evolving minute by minute and could worsen further in the next few hours.
The internal investigation
What is certain is that Horner's behaviour, for which the presumption of innocence naturally applies, is the subject of an internal investigation. Red Bull itself confirmed this in a statement: “After becoming aware of the recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation that is already underway and conducted by a specialized external lawyer. The Company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practicable. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this time”.
