Honda HRC looks for signs of light
After a zero-points weekend in Texas for the Honda HRC it's time to frame the weekend in Jerez, home of the Spanish Grand Prix, the fourth act of the 2024 championship. A day of testing is scheduled for Monday, so for a manufacturer like Honda in its experimental phase, the Iberian one is a very important event.
Joan Mir presented the weekend in Andalusia like this: “Coming to a race like Jerez, where you have all the home fans to support you, will be a great help after the difficult weekend we experienced in Austin. It's important to leave everything behind and continue working as we did at the beginning of the year to understand the potential of the bike this weekend. We are realistic about what is possible and need to focus on improvements and aim for more in the future. It's about taking one step at a time, making steady progress and we can't expect a big leap at this stage.”
Luca Marini together with Franco Morbidelli he has yet to score a point this season. Jerez was a track where he rode a lot in private tests as well as the test team. This is why the Italian driver awaits the Cathedral weekend with great curiosity: “The test team did a lot of testing in Jerez and will be with us this weekend. It will be interesting to see what we can learn from this situation.”
