It’s been ten years since we last saw Harry Potter at the cinema. His world has continued to expand with Fantastic Animals and a play that continues the story. However, we have not seen together on screen the actors who were part of the childhood of millions since the eighth film.
It was recently announced that HBO Max I was preparing a special of Harry Potter to celebrate twenty years of the first time we saw Hogwarts. This would bring together several of the actors who gave life to the work of JKRowling at the movies to talk about their experiences. Now the first preview of this one has arrived.
A nostalgic teaser for Harry Potter lovers
After revealing the news, HBO Max is already preparing to give a Christmas gift, a little late, to fans of the boy who lived. A new trailer has been released for this long-awaited gathering of Harry Potter, which will surely remind you of some of the magic that you felt when you saw the movies for the first time.
The trailer shows some well-known actors from Harry Potter receiving your letter from Hogwarts inviting them to return. Those featured in the trailer are the performers behind Hagrid, Neville, Arthur Weasley and, apparently, Bellatrix lestrange. Plus, we’ve got some glimpses of iconic locations from the young wizard’s adventures.
The trailer does not show us much of what we can expect from this special, perhaps it is similar to the one HBO Max performed for the series Friends, full of behind-the-scenes anecdotes. What we can be sure of is that we will see most of the cast back, especially the main trio of Harry Potter, Ron and Hermione. Unfortunately, there will be some omissions, as some actors have died in these ten years.
The Twentieth Anniversary Special of Harry Potter will be available in HBO Max Starting on January 1, 2022, it would be a good way to ring in the new year. Perhaps the closer the date gets they will be releasing clips with some of the news they have prepared. Will they see it or would they have preferred a new movie?
