Finland won the men’s hockey Olympic gold for the first time on Sunday morning, when the Lions defeated the team of the Russian Olympic Committee 2–1. Finland has two silver (1988 and 2006) and four bronze medals (1994, 1998, 2010 and 2014) in its history of hockey.
