Hockey Patrik Laine gets his good friend from Tampere as a teammate

Tampere’s Tappara striker Joona Luoto will move to the NHL for Columbus Blue Jackets next season.

Hockey Forward Tappara, the winner of the Finnish championship Joona Luoto will move to the NHL next season to work for the Columbus Blue Jackets. The contract with Luoto, the breeder of the Lempäälä Race, is for one year, says Columbus website.

Luoto’s agreement is two-way. If he doesn’t fit on the Columbus NHL team, he maintains a feel for the game on the club’s farm team in the AHL series.

Luoto, 24, was voted the most valuable player in the playoffs. He scored 8 + 9 points in 14 playoffs and scored the only goal in the decisive fifth final.

Luoto’s previous NHL experience is 16 games from 2019-20 in the Winnipeg Jets.

Among the Finns, a good friend of Luodo plays in Columbus Patrik Laine. He works as the CEO of Columbus Jarmo Kekäläinen.
