Slovenia was promoted to the main series of the World Championships next season after winning Hungary.
Slovenia plays in the main series of the 2023 World Hockey Championships. The matter was confirmed on Friday when the team won the Division 1 A-level races.
The rise was already confirmed in the second last match, when Hungary crashed 5-1 in the crushing readings.
The match progressed steadily to the start of the second round, but then Slovenia hit twice in just five seconds. First Robert Sabolic hit a time of 26.45 and blinked later Ziga Pance took Slovenian, who had already played in Ljubljana, to the home crowd for a run away.
Pance deprived the puck of the Hungarian defender after a losing midfield, escaped through and lifted the puck stylishly to the top corner.
