Let’s go back to talking about one of the closures that, more than ever, is shaking the world of video games: that of the studio Tango Gameworks by Microsoft. The studio, which had recently published the highly appreciated Hi-Fi Rushhad a very respectable fan base who, as expected, did not take the closure well.
As reported by the Dualshockers magazine, the studio’s fans have decided to take action for demonstrate their regret to Microsoftbut that’s not what you’re thinking.
We are faced, in fact, with a rare case of “reverse review bombing” that is, a bombardment (on the Steam page and beyond) of extremely positive reviews for Hi-Fi Rush.
This organized operation, in the intentions of the fan base, would serve to make Microsoft understand the mistake it has made: after all, one of the most promising and interesting teams of recent years has just ended, and what’s more without any real reason.
Let’s read some of these “protest” reviews together:
“Shame on Microsoft and Xbox for ripping off Tango, this is the most CREATIVE and UNIQUE action game released in the last ten years. The studio and the team behind this deserved better”
“Hi-Fi Rush was the best Xbox game released in over a decade, won awards and was loved by everyone. Microsoft’s response is to shut them down, and that’s crap. Hi-Fi Rush is 1000% worth playing, please buy this game and experience one of the best character action games.”
Microsoft he made no statements about it, for the moment.
