ToastedShoes offered a first glimpse of one Helldivers 2 mod which could potentially become a must-have for many PC players, as it transforms Helldivers into Stormtroopers Star Wars.
The name may be familiar to you, given that we are talking about the same author of the mod that replaced the polygonal models of the player’s avatar, the NPCs and the Pals of Palworld with those of Ash Ketchum, Misty and the Pokémon from the Game Freak series, unfortunately canceled before becoming publicly available.
For this Helldivers 2 mod the concept is similar. The standard Helldiver armor of the game has been replaced by that of the Stormtrooper and Mandalorian armor from Star Wars, the Super Earth ships seen in the sky have been replaced with Star Destroyers, while among the ranks of the Automaton there are some droids and AT-ST. Simple but very effective. Below you will find a gameplay video published by ToastedShoes showing the mod in action.
When will the mod be available?
At the time of writing the Star Wars mod for Helldivers 2 isn’t yet publicly available, but it looks like we won’t have to wait long. As announced by the author himself, the mod pack will be made public soon, as soon as some compatibility issues found on some planets and difficulty levels are resolved. Once these flaws have been resolved it will be made available on NexusMods.
The good news is that in the meantime Toasted will publish other similar mods such as the “Helldivers 2 but ruined with mod“, a mix of Halo, Guardians of the Galaxy Toy Stoy and Thomas & Friends, which will be available later this week.
Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 players are facing a new Master Order that demands to eliminate 2 billion Automaton in just a few days. There’s a new Stratagem up for grabs.
