The death toll from storms in Afghanistan and Pakistan has risen to at least 137 people over the past few days, as more heavy rain is expected in some areas.
The Disaster Control Authority said that at least 67 people in Pakistan were killed in unusually heavy rains. A state of emergency was declared in the city of Karachi in the south of the country.
In Afghanistan, the National Disaster Management Authority said that about 70 people were killed and 56 others were injured due to heavy rains and floods across the country, and 2,627 homes were damaged.
