Serbian Prime Minister Barnabić announced that the start of the heating season has been postponed by two weeks
In Serbia, the start of the heating season has been postponed for two weeks – from October 15 to the end of this month. The solution is related to energy savings. This was stated by Prime Minister Ana Barnabic, reports TASS.
“It’s just unambiguously reasonable, when the temperature outside is 22 degrees, not to turn on the heating. I think there is no need to turn on the heating until the end of October. But the final assessment will be made by local authorities. We are ready for the heating season, but why waste resources if the weather is warm?” – she said.
On August 24, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Europe is facing a cataclysm and power outages due to the energy crisis around the world.
However, Serbia refused to reduce the amount of heating consumed by citizens, unlike other European countries. The Minister of Mining and Energy of the Republic, Zorana Mihajlovic, noted that the Serbian government will fight as much as it can so that there are no restrictions.
