“It is important to support women in communication, especially on the type of ovarian cancer and above all on the fact that prevention can be done and, on the other hand, informing them because there may be a genetic mutation in women who are familiar with it”. These are the words of Elena Murelli, senator of the Health, Labor and Social Affairs Commission on the occasion of World Ovarian Cancer Day on 8 May, underlining the commitment of the institutions to gather the requests of the scientific community and patient associations in order to improve the quality of life and survival of women.
