“It will be very important that the regional networks for dermatological diseases in the Regions are harmonized also to promote therapeutic adherence in order to reduce waste and increase the efficacy and safety of treatments. The other element is access to therapies. In these networks, a new method of dispensing the drug could also be included, namely home delivery, which could, together with easily accessible instruments, I am thinking of some Apps, be integrated with the delivery of the drug to the patient, in order to increase therapeutic adherence”.
This was stated to Adnkronos Salute by Marcello Pani, national secretary of Sifo, the Italian Society of Hospital Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Services, on the occasion of the ‘Equity Group – Chronic Skin Diseases’ meeting which took place in Rome in the presence of experts, dermatologist specialists, patient associations and scientific societies.
