Health! Deputies approve the NATIONAL TEQUILA DAY: Know the DATE

Let's celebrate! Deputies approve the National Tequila Day to celebrate throughout Mexico this traditional country drink and specifically the state of Jalisco.

The Chamber of Deputies approved with 452 votes in favor, zero against and one abstention that each July 24 is celebrated National Tequila Day.

When is Mexico Tequila Day?

The opinion was sent to the Senate of the Republic awaiting approval to celebrate the National Tequila Day he July 24instead of it being the third saturday of march as it has usually been celebrated since 2018.

The initiative comes to celebrate the same day that the International Tequila Day every July 24, however, this date originally took place in the United States based on a recognition of the UNESCO.

Because the National Tequila Day It did not have an established date, it did not have much positioning on the part of Mexicans, so it seeks to recognize the cultural, historical and economic value of tequila with an official national day.

“All the political forces of the Lower House approved the initiative, recognizing the cultural, historical and economic value that this has. drink for all of Mexico“, highlighted the Chamber of Deputies through a statement.

Along with the participation of Tequila Regulatory Council and the National Chamber of the Tequila Industrywe are waiting for the approval of the Senate of the Republic to officially determine the celebration.
