A driver of a stolen car has broken into the Plaza Elíptica interchange in Madrid on Tuesday, and has embedded the vehicle in one of the busiest transport infrastructure stairs in the capital. However, despite the magnitude of the incident, no personal damage has been caused, as reported by Emergencies Madrid on its Twitter account.

It was at midnight when the 36-year-old driver entered the interchange through a door exclusively for buses. Once inside, he went through a glass door and accessed the corridors that connect the coach docks with the access to the Madrid Metro until he was wedged into some stairs.

Madrid firefighters, as reported by Emergencies Madrid, had to carry out a “laborious maneuver” to be able to remove the vehicle from the facilities.

Thus, the driver of the vehicle was taken to the October 12 hospital, although according to the same sources he was unharmed. The Municipal Police has taken charge of the investigation to clarify the facts.
