Since February of this year, Ana María Henao Knezevicha Colombian-American woman, is missing in Spain and is believed to have been murdered.
Authorities suspect that the main suspect is David Knezevichthe woman’s husband, had a complicated relationship and divorce process because, according to the media, he did not want to divide the assets.
In fact, some were revealed audios that Ana María Henao sent to a friend before disappearing, in which it is heard that she felt manipulated and constantly threatened.
The last news they had about her was that she was looking for a new rental apartment with the expectation of staying in the Spanish capital long-term.
Since then nothing more has been heard from Ana María Henao. The FBI began some investigations and revealed that a man wearing a motorcycle helmet entered the apartment building in Madrid where the woman lived, and that he sprayed paint on the security cameras. This same man was captured carrying what appears to be a suitcase when he left the structure.
The FBI believes that the man’s entry into the place has to do with the disappearance of Ana Henao and that the main suspect is David Knezevich. For this reason, he was arrested on Saturday at Miami International Airport and remains in preventive detention due to flight risk.

He is a daffodil, but he doesn’t know it, he doesn’t know it yet. The therapists are helping me get him out so that manipulating him doesn’t work.
“He is a daffodil, but he doesn’t know it, he doesn’t know it yet. The therapists are helping me get him out so that manipulating him doesn’t work. It was important that a professional told me that I was not crazy,” says one of the audios.
And I add: “I found him a psychoanalytic psychiatrist who works with families and couples.. We did therapy: he three sessions, I three sessions. I noticed that he cheated on me again, he was using Tinder. The doctors told me that telling him that we are separating would not go well for me. “They were going to help me have a fair divorce.”
Luisana Moreno, with whom Henao was the last day before her disappearance, highlighted that the victim lived in fear and had had several panic attacks.
“She always told me that David wanted to control everything“, confessed Luisana Moreno in the program.
The motive for the disappearance would be economic
According to investigations, the disappearance would be due to an economic issue. Everything indicates that David Knezevich did not want to divide the assets.
The couple ran an information technology company and was also connected to the real estate sector. They had 15 homes in South Florida, the couple’s assets were more than $15 million in real estate alone.
She wanted 50-50%, which was legal, but David reiterated his refusal.
Ana María Henao offered him a 50/50 divorce deal, but David Knezevich did not accept it, it is believed that this would be related to his narcissistic behavior.
“She wanted 50-50%, what was legal, but David reiterated his refusal“commented Luisana Moreno, friend of Ana María Henao.
In fact, David Knezevich’s offer was that he would keep 75% of the assets.
“In front of the therapist he tells me that he is going to do everything for me, and then he changes. Why don’t you comply with what we just talked about? I don’t want what I deserve to go to someone else or be used to make more money. None of those things interest me,” is heard in another audio.
The clues that point to the husband
According to the FBI investigation, on the day of the disappearance of Ana María Henaoher husband, 36 years old, was in his native Serbia and four days before he rented a Peugeot brand car.
At the same time, in Spain a man reported that his license plate had been stolen, which was later seen on a Peugeot traveling along Francisco Silvela Street, where the missing woman’s apartment was located.
The car rental site later reported to authorities that when Knezevich returned the car, it had the painted glass, the license plate frame had been changed and that two tags from the vehicle were removed.
Another key element of the research is some text messages that two friends of Ana María Henao received separately from her phone, one in English and another in Spanish, in which she said that she planned to go away for a few days with a man she had just met, which aroused suspicion.
According to the FBI, the day after Ana María Henao was last seen, Knezevich wrote to a Colombian woman he met months ago through a dating app to please transcribe a message into “perfect Colombian.” , which was for a friend of hers who was a screenwriter.
The translated message is the same one that Ana María Henao’s two friends later received.
