“I made it big this time, I exaggerated, I didn't want to hurt her so much, I killed her”. With these words, a 46-year-old from Niscemi, in the province of Caltanissetta, presented himself to the police station after seriously injuring his wife in the presence of their two children.
An attack within the walls of the house that arose from a banality: the wife had asked for an explanation and reason for returning home for lunch around 4pm. The man started shouting, but was immediately pushed away by his children, then he threw a chair towards his wife who was not hit thanks to the promptness of one of the two boys.
Then the 46-year-old, evidently not happy, detached a foot of the table and threw it in the woman's face, causing fractures to her face and several injuries. The woman fainted at home and her children called their aunt to accompany the victim to the hospital.
The children said that arguments at home are frequent when the man returns to Niscemi after being at work. The investigating judge of the Court of Gela Fabrizio Giannola validated the arrest of the 46-year-old for mistreatment and aggravated injuries towards his wife. Now the man is in prison.
