Hamdan bin Zayed: We will spare no effort to meet the humanitarian needs in Somalia

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, and the head of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, directed the strengthening of the relief operations of the relief organization for those affected by drought among the brotherly Somali people, and to provide everything that would contribute to alleviating the suffering on their shoulders. This came during a phone call made by His Highness with the delegation of the Emirates Red Crescent, which is currently in Somalia to implement a number of humanitarian programs and relief operations for the benefit of those affected by drought in a number of Somali regions. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during a call with the head of the Red Crescent delegation, Muhammad Khamis Al Kaabi, reassured the humanitarian situation in Somalia in general. His Highness was also briefed on the details of the relief program that is being implemented to provide the necessary needs of those affected by the drought that hit Somalia as a result of the lack of rain during the last three years. His Highness said that this initiative comes as an extension of the humanitarian and development efforts undertaken by the UAE and its wise leadership for the brothers in Somalia, based on its sincere commitment towards them to improve their conditions. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the UAE will spare no effort to meet the humanitarian needs in Somalia and improve the necessary services in all fields.
