This came during the visit of His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai to the Hatta region, where His Highness approved the implementation of a package of development projects aimed at serving the people of Hatta and its visitors, within the framework of the comprehensive development plan for this important region of the Emirate of Dubai. The projects included the establishment of a private school, and the establishment of a new neighborhood council for the residents of the region. In addition to approving the design of the Hatta Beach project and the site chosen for its implementation.

For the residents of the area, it includes classrooms, laboratories, halls, sports fields, open squares, a theatre, a kindergarten building, and a clinic. The school’s capacity ranges between 700 to 1,000 students. His Highness also listened to an explanation about the project to implement a new neighborhood council for the residents of the area, which will be a forum for the residents. With the aim of enhancing social communication among the people of the region, the council includes a multi-use main hall, service facilities, administrative offices, and others.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum reviewed the design of the Hatta Beach project and its implementation site, with the aim of transforming the area into a year-round tourist destination for residents and tourists, and extending the seasonal period for visiting Hatta to include the summer season. The project area is estimated at about 53 thousand square meters. The beach area is more than 10,000 square meters, where an artificial lake (Crystal Lagoon) will be created with a beach, providing service facilities, rest houses, pedestrian walkways, bicycle paths, restaurants, food trucks, and an outdoor cinema. The lake allows for a number of activities such as swimming and water games, as seen His Highness on a number of projects to be implemented in the next phase, the most important of which are: establishing hotels and resorts, building 235 residences in Hatta, and developing “Hatta Downtown.”

It also completed the project to develop the heritage village, develop Lim Lake, implement traffic solutions for roads and parking in tourist and vital sites and parks, provide collective and shared transportation solutions, implement paths for bicycles and mountain bikes, and develop and maintain three schools. Providing 330 investment opportunities and support to the people of the Hatta region within the implemented projects, in addition to implementing agricultural and beautification works in the region.
