Hamas refused to participate in negotiations with Israel after the Rafah attack
The Palestinian radical movement Hamas refused to participate in negotiations after the Israeli attack in Rafah. The agency reports this Xinhua with reference to sources.
“Hamas said it will not take part in any negotiations following the Israeli attack in Rafah,” the agency reports.
On May 26, the military wing of Hamas announced the launch of “a large number of rockets” at Tel Aviv, explaining its actions as a response to Israel’s “deprivation of civilian life” in the Gaza Strip.
On May 27, Israel responded with a powerful strike on Rafah. Gaza authorities and doctors say the attack hit a camp for displaced people that had been designated by Israel as a “safe zone.”
