Hamas gives the Red Cross to two of the three hostages that will release this Saturday

After 484 days in captivity in the Gaza Strip, the hostages Offer Calderon and Yarden Vivas were delivered this Saturday from the Palestinian militias in Jan Yunis, in the south of the enclave, to representatives of the Red Cross, the Israeli army reported. In return, Israel will release this Saturday 183 Palestinian prisoners.

“According to the information communicated by the Red Cross, the two hostages were transferred at the same time and are on their way to Israel’s defense forces,” said a military statement on the current exchange.

Initially, only 90 Palestinian prisoners were going to be released, in accordance with the provisions of the Alto El Fuego Agreement, which establishes 30 detainees and Palestinian prisoners for each Israeli civilian, or 50 in exchange for each soldier of the Hebrew army.

This is the fourth round of hostage exchange for Palestinian prisoners and detainees since the beginning of the high fire on January 19, date from which a total of 10 Israelis and five Thai have been released alive.

The third hostage to release is Keith Siegel, an American-Israeli who was going to be delivered in the port of Gaza, a different location than the other two hostages already released.
