Among the many suggestions that talk about Xbox games on other platforms, a report also emerges that seems to suggest the arrival of Halo on PlayStation or Nintendo platformseven if the interpretation of what is reported in a true 343 Industries job posting however, it is doubtful.
The issue refers to an announcement published by 343 Industries that appears to have to do with a new game in the Halo series, in which it is actually reported that the project concerns “all platforms“, although this could refer to the platforms mentioned, namely Xbox and PC.
The announcement is for a Lead Game System Designer, i.e. a designer who deals with the construction of game systems, therefore a rather important part in the creative process of video games, regarding 343 Industries and the new projects regarding the “next generation of games and experiences” in the world of Halo.
The interpretation is not obvious
Among the responsibilities mentioned in the characteristics of the role in question we also find “establish clear design objectives, focusing the design of systems on achieving coherent and high-quality experiences for all playerson all platforms.”
This last aspect has been taken as another possible indication of Microsoft's desire to also bring Halo into a totally multiplatform context, but in truth the issue is not so easily interpretable in this sense.
The context here concerns parallel development on PC and Xbox, as well as the development of projects that could even go beyond the classic video game, so the idea is that the reference to “all players on all platforms” can be understood in a generic way, or specifically refer to oneself PC and Xboxwhich are the areas already mentioned in other parts of the announcement.
In any case, after much chatter about the possibility that Xbox games could become multiplatform, we are awaiting official communications which should arrive with clearer information on the expected future of Microsoft's gaming division next week.
