Revaccination with the Russian drug against coronavirus “Sputnik Light” should be every six months, especially in the conditions of the spread of the strain “Delta”. This opinion was expressed by the director of the Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Gamaleya Alexander Gintsburg.
“Sputnik Light”, from my point of view, in the situation of the emergence of a new strain, it is really necessary [заново прививаться] once every six months “, – he noted in the commentary”RIA News”Published on November 14th.
The scientist stressed that the issue of revaccination is “very critical” today.
The director of the Gamaleya Center recalled that the period of six months is indicated in the methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Health on vaccination, and he agrees with him.
Revaccination is important, since the titer of antibodies in humans decreases after six months, the expert concluded.

The reported side effects were mild to moderate and no serious side effects were reported.
Against the background of a worsening epidemiological situation, the Russian authorities are urging residents to get vaccinated in order to protect their health and take care of their loved ones.
