In addition to meals and supermarket purchases, iFood included the delivery of stickers in its service, with delivery stipulated in up to 15 minutes for customers. According to company data, about 600,000 album units and sticker packs have been purchased by app users since August, when official sales began.
For the Qatar World Cup, which for the first time will take place in December, iFood said it is planning actions that even include the delivery of items such as charcoal for barbecues, rivaling segments in which rivals such as Rappi already operate.
The company did not reveal projections, but said that it works with an expectation of an increase in delivery orders during the games, even due to the increase in the market driven by the pandemic. The company has 300,000 partner restaurants and 200,000 couriers registered in Brazil.
