Guillermo Ochoa rejected an offer from Real Oviedo in Spanish football

Guillermo Ochoa He is officially without a club for the following season. The Mexican ended his contract with the Salernitana just a few weeks ago, so he is looking for a team to receive him for the 2024-2025 season.

Under that premise, in the last few hours it has been announced that the same goalkeeper had contacts with the Real Oviedo of Spanish football. According to TUDN, Guillermo Ochoa would have told the Spanish team a resounding no when it put his project on the table to bring him into their ranks.

The same source assured that the reason for having made that decision has to do with the issue of the category in which the Grupo Pachuca team plays and is that they are in the Second Division of Spain. Ochoa, for his part, only seeks to have opportunities with teams in the First Division.

It should be noted that this has been handled as a rumor so it is unknown if there was a great offer on the table, since Oviedo is one of those in the fight for promotion. Furthermore, the Mexican goalkeeper already knows what it is like to play in Spain, having already done so with Málaga and Granada a few years ago.
